The following Frequently Asked Questions address some of the most common questions ARTFACTOR receives about the symposium it organises. If you cannot find an answer to your question, please contact us.
- Who can attend the symposium?
The symposium is open to all interested participants, especially researchers, academics, artists and students who carry out academic or professional studies in the field of art and design.
- How will my abstract be evaluated?
Submitted papers will be sent to the relevant scientific committee members and referees by originality, academic competence and compliance with the scientific scope of the symposium in terms of the symposium programme. Papers accepted as a result of the evaluation are included in the symposium programme.
- How will I know if the notification has been accepted?
In the event that your submission is accepted, you will be notified to your e-mail address acceptance letter will be sent.
- In which cases is the notification not accepted?
In the following cases, there is a possibility that your submission may not be accepted:
- Symposium does not correspond to its scientific scope,
- Lack of originality or previously presented/published,
- Lack of an academic style,
- Content contrary to the rules of scientific ethics to harbour,
- Failure to comply with the application process,
- Not conforming to spelling rules.
- Can I present a paper that has already been presented at another conference?
It has not been presented to the symposium before, original and new works is recognised.
- What are the forms of presentation?
Symposium oral and poster presentation There are two forms of presentation.
- How long can presentations be?
For each oral presentation 15-20 minutes time is allocated.
- What are the considerations for poster presentation?
- Posters in the specified size and format (e.g: 70×100 cm, vertical format)
- Posters should be presented on the days and times specified in the symposium area.
- Images, texts and graphics clear and understandable should be.
- During the poster presentation, participants should be at the head of their poster to explain their work.
- Will the paper not presented be included in the abstract booklet?
No. As a matter of academic and scientific ethics, only papers presented published in the abstract booklet.
- How many papers can be submitted to the symposium?
Each participant maximum 2 papers can participate in the symposium.
- How to get a certificate of attendance?
If the symposium has been completed and the presentation has been made, the participants certificate of participation given.
- Is the symposium fee refundable?
Yes. However, only in case of a deficiency caused by Artfactor, the fee will be refunded. In cases caused by the participant, the symposium fee is non-refundable as it covers the organisation expenses.
- Will full texts be published?
There is no obligation to publish the presented papers as full text. Full texts that do not pass the academic evaluation are not published. Full texts that pass the academic evaluation are published in the full text booklet with ISBN. In addition, full texts can be Artfactor Journal can be published in article format.
- Can I attend the symposium as a listener?
Yes, it is possible. Participation as a listener is possible.
- When will the symposium programme be announced?
The symposium programme is shared with the participants via the official website 3 days before the symposium date.
