ARTFACTOR INTERNATIONAL

ART AND DESIGN SYMPOSIUM DIRECTIVE

  1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
    This directive regulates the basic rules regarding the organisation of the ARTFACTOR International Art and Design Symposium, the obligations of the participants, the evaluation of the papers, the presentation rules, the artistic activities and the organisation process.
  2. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
    2.1. Academics, artists, researchers, graduate students and professionals related to the field can apply to the symposium.
    2.2. Participants may submit individual or joint papers. Each participant may submit a maximum of two declarations can apply with.
    2.3. Presentations will be made individually and presentation times will be applied within the framework of the determined programme.
    2.4. Each participant who completes his/her registration by applying to the symposium is deemed to have accepted these guidelines in advance.
  3. SUBMISSION AND EVALUATION
    3.1. Abstracts and full texts are evaluated by the members of the relevant scientific committee of the symposium.
    3.2. The following situations may result in the rejection of the submission
  • Failure to comply with the scientific scope of the symposium,
  • Lack of originality or previously submitted/published,
  • Lack of an academic style,
  • Containing content contrary to the rules of scientific ethics,
  • Failure to comply with the application process,
  • Not conforming to spelling rules.
  1. PRESENTATION AND PUBLICATION RULES
    4.1. Papers accepted to the symposium must be presented on the specified dates.
    4.2. Papers that have not been presented due to ethical reasons not included in the abstract booklet or full text publications.
    4.3. Participants are obliged to act in accordance with the rules of scientific ethics and academic style while presenting their papers.
    4.4. The presentation of papers previously presented at another academic event is the responsibility of the participant.
    4.5. Papers presented within the scope of the symposium, provided that they pass the referee evaluation process In Artfactor Journal can be published.
    4.6. It is not obligatory to publish the abstracts as full text. Papers to be published in full text must fulfil the evaluation criteria in Article 3.
    4.7. The organisation is not obliged to provide any explanation for unaccepted abstracts and full papers.
    4.8. The symposium committee has the right to make changes in the paper times.
    4.9. Corrections specified in the abstracts and full papers must be made completely and by providing feedback within the specified date. Otherwise, the related paper will not be included in the publication process.
  2. REGISTRATION AND FEE POLICY
    5.1. Participants must register for the symposium and pay the relevant fees within the specified dates.
    5.2. Since the symposium registration fee covers the organisation expenses non-refundable in case of cancellation caused by the participant.
    5.3. In cases arising from the organisation of the symposium (change of symposium venue or day), the fee may be refunded.
    5.4. Possible costs for payments made by credit card or bank transfer belong to the participant.
  3. ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES
    6.1. The artistic activities within the scope of the symposium pass through the evaluation committee.
    6.2. Artistic activities deemed unsuitable by the symposium committee may be rejected without justification.
    6.3. The symposium committee is not responsible for any loss or damage that may arise in the artistic activities sent to the symposium.
    6.4. It is obligatory to send the works ready for presentation. Works that are not ready for presentation will not be included in the exhibition.
    6.5. If there is a difference between the work specified in the application and the exhibited work, the work will not be included in the exhibition.
    6.6. If there is a discrepancy between the information provided about the work during the application and the information about the work presented during the physical exhibition (size, technique, material, etc.), the work will be rejected.
    6.7. If the works requested to be exhibited are of a special nature, prior information must be given.
    6.8. The legal responsibility of all works participating in artistic activities belongs to the author of the work.
    6.9. In online exhibitions, the original dimensions and the dimensions in the exhibition area may not match exactly. The exhibition organisation only covers the display of images.
    6.10. Online Exhibitions will be cancelled when their duration expires. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the participant to take images from the exhibition.
    6.11. Solo exhibitions are limited to a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 works.
    6.12. Since solo exhibitions will be archived in the artists section listed on the site, all information and explanations provided by the participants are the responsibility of the participant.
    6.13. Participants who open solo exhibitions are deemed to have accepted that their images and biographies will be included in the artists listed on the website.
    6.14. Artistic activities are organised by curators commissioned by ARTFACTOR.
  4. RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBLIGATIONS
    7.1. Participants bear all legal and ethical responsibility for the papers they submit to the symposium.
    7.2. The symposium organisation is not responsible for the academic content of the papers.
    7.3. Visual and written materials recorded or published by the participants during the symposium may be archived and used for promotional purposes by the organising committee.
  5. ARTFACTOR DIRECTIVE CHANGE RIGHT
    8.1. ARTFACTOR has the right to make amendments to this directive. The updated directive will be valid from the date it enters into force.
  6. EFFECTIVE AND ACCEPTANCE
    9.1. This regulation has been prepared by the organising committee of ARTFACTOR International Art and Design Symposium and enters into force as of the date of its announcement.
    9.2. Each participant who registers for the symposium is deemed to have accepted these guidelines.
